Lebza says: 2 April 2015 at 11:43 I have received a tax certificate from my previous employer. So this is my first time submiting to SARS. I received an sms stating that the amount due by me is R0,1 and I was selected for audit. On the certificate under 'income received' there is a substantial amount of over R50,000 under 'gross non-retirement fund income'. My question is what does that mean and will I be getting any thing. |
TaxTim says: 2 April 2015 at 16:09 Unfortunately you will not be receiving a refund from SARS, the term Gross Non-Retirement Fund Income is for income earned from your employment which does not related to pensionable earnings. This means that if you do not contribute to a pension fund then SARS classifies the income under this heading. |
