When will payment be made by SARS as a tax refund?

I did my eFiling on Friday. My current eFiling status is assessment received and SARS status is avs banking with avs verification pass. What does this mean? Yesterday I received a msg saying a statement of account has been issued. Confused...... when will the money be refunded or is there something else they need?

Did you change your banking details at SARS recently?

When I did the eFiling I put my savings account number. But today I changed it back to the original cheque account that SARS has. The consultant on the phone at SARS said it should pose a problem as the system still reflects my cheque account number n SARS will pay that account. My changing back to the original account wont delay the process?

It most probably will as now their systems are confused. Read our blog below and follow the steps which unfortunately is the only way to provide documentary proof of the change of banking details.
