TaxTim says: 9 May 2022 at 9:27 At the moment the new filing dates for the 2022 tax filing season, which covers your income/expenses from 1 March 2021 to 28 February 2022, will be as follows: Salary earning (non-provisional) taxpayers who file online: 1 July 2022 to 16 November 2022 Provisional taxpayers who file online: 1 September 2022 to 31 January 2023 Branch filers (By Appointment ONLY): 1 September 2022 to 22 October 2023. PLEASE NOTE: This tax season might also be cut a bit shorter but should there be any changes, we will make them known via our communication platforms. In the meantime please get all your supporting documents, kindly see our blog on Supporting documents for more information on what you will need. Please take note of the following guidelines: • SARS will NOT accept schedules or lists of expenses alone • You must submit scanned copies of the actual invoices/receipts • Always make sure that you reconcile your supporting documents back to the total expense you claimed on your tax return. • Submit all calculations and make sure they are clear and easy for SARS to review e.g home office, wear and tear etc |
