What does "Return - Data Submitted to ITS" mean?

Hi, my SARS status says "Return - Data Submitted To ITS" and has not changed since I submitted my assessment on 2014/09/07.

No one has asked for any documents or anything else, and I have not gotten any sms's from SARS as yet.

I did make a change to my assessment yesterday but reverted the change and saved again so the table with the Return Type, status, date, etc shows two records. One with a status of "Filed through eFiling" and the other with "Saved".

What does this mean? Is SARS waiting for something or are they just still getting around to my tax return?

You need to now file that second return that you made changes to, otherwise it is as if it is unfiled.
