Neville says: 12 April 2022 at 9:52 SARS is requesting CIT documents, what is this? As the financial statements have already been uploaded. |
TaxTim says: 12 April 2022 at 10:02 A: Corporate Income Tax (CIT) is a tax imposed on companies resident in the Republic of South Africa i.e. incorporated under the laws of, or which are effectively managed in, the Republic, and which derive income from within or outside the Republic. Non-resident companies which operate through a branch, or which have a permanent establishment within the Republic are subject to tax on all income from a source within the Republic. The only documents to be uploaded would be the Company Financial Statements unless something else was specifically requested by SARS. It may be best to call them on 0800 007 277 to ask what else is required. |
