TaxTim says: 6 February 2015 at 10:44 Yes you will be able to deduct those items, if they are each worth less than R7000 then you can deduct them in full or if not then please use our Wear and Tear calculator I am not sure why you were told not to submit, but you need to file a return as you are earning more than the taxable amount of R70 700 for the 2015 tax year. |
Garth says: 12 February 2015 at 17:27 Thanks so much for your reply, you guys are great. Alas a combination of my ISP and Eskom kept me from replying earlier. I was told not to fill in a tax return since I was filling one in whilst being unemployed and earning almost nothing. So SARS said: "Don't waste our time boet." I don't blame them. BUT now that things are all complicated I was wondering if I can still efile or if I have to go to the SARS office and talk about this stuff. When does tax season begin? (earliest I can see them) Can I go and aks them to fill in these extra bits and bobs or should I come and see you guys? If so, what do you charge? Sorry, lots of questions, but it will really help to know. |
TaxTim says: 13 February 2015 at 9:29 You can do this on eFiling or through our website as well, no need to go into a SARS branch. Have a look at our Pricing Page for the cost of our various packages. |
