When I try to upload a supporting document for my tax return on SARS eFiling, I get the below error:

"Upload failed. File could not be uploaded. There has been an error. Please try again or contact us if the problem persists (135244034). "

Can you help me with this problem? I can't upload my supporting docs.

This is a common problem with SARS eFiling. It has been known to happen with Excel spreadsheets (.xls and .xlsx file formats) but may happen with other formats too.

Luckily there are three ways to solve it:

1) Use Internet Explorer as your internet browser instead of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or other. SARS eFiling was designed for best use on Internet Explorer.

2) Use Excel to save your document as a PDF and then upload that instead.

3) Just use TaxTim to complete and submit your tax return. We make the process simple! Start here
