Alternatively, you can request a Statement of Account in order to see your overall position with SARS i.e if you owe them or if they owe you. There may potentially be money due to you if you have been working and paying tax to SARS and have filed a Tax Return. You need to have overpaid tax for some reason in order for there to be a refund.
