TaxTim says: 8 February 2016 at 12:40 You do not need to submit proof unless SARS request it. In which case, an affidavit would suffice. Please read our blog on how to Swear an affidavit. You can deduct all business related expenses that you incur in production of your income. eg. travel, stationery, telephone, etc Remember that any expenses incurred that relate to business and personal, needs to be pro-rated where you work out the % of business usage out of the total usage and then claim the expense accordingly.
