Hi I will be working in Botswana from the 1st of June. I will be taxed in Botswana but will get paid into my South African bank account. I am a South African resident but will be living and working in Botswana. Would I be taxed in South Africa as well?
I am currently contributing to a RA in South Africa would I be able to continue doing this without being taxed on it?

How long will you be working in Botswana?

Minimum of 2 years. I will be working 2 months on 3 weeks off.

Given you will be taxed in Botswana and you will be gone from SA for more than 183 days and 60 days continuous then you won't need to pay tax in SA. If you are taxed in SA then the tax paid in Botswana will be offset against any amount. You can continue to contribute to the RA however you will not receive a tax benefit if you are not paying tax in SA.
