Tax implications of investments?

Is it a waste of time and resources to invest R200pm in Unit Trusts through an FNB account for someone earning R12k monthly?

It is never a waste of time to invest money into savings. You would need to weigh up the returns on the investment vs the costs involved and the possible other investments you could make with this amount.
