John says: 21 September 2015 at 10:39 Dear sir/madam. During March-June 2013 I was employed on a fixed term contact while I was studying. I had no other employment for that year. My cost to company was R12000, without any benefits. I did pay PAYE for that period. Can I still submit a tax return for that tax period in the present day? Will there be any fees or fines for this? |
TaxTim says: 21 September 2015 at 20:33 Yes, you can definitely submit a Tax Return still for the 2014 tax year and in fact, we strongly suggest you do as there is a good chance that you will have a refund due to you because you only worked for part of a year, while probably paying tax based on a full year. There may be a small late filing penalty, however this is not set in stone. Please Register for TaxTim and let us assist you to complete and file your Tax Return. |

TaxTim says: 21 September 2015 at 22:25 No, it should not. Just update your address details with SARS (either on SARS SARS eFiling or at the branch depending on how you submit) so that SARS has your up to date contact details. |
