SARS refund delayed question.

Good morning Tim, on the 1st of July I submitted my tax return via e-filing, on Friday the 3rd of July the status changed to assessed and a note saying that I should receive my assessment in my inbox within 2 weeks. I have not been select for an audit and am due a refund. I called the SARS contact number yesterday and was informed that my tax return had been assessed and was completed, however I have still not received any refund from SARS. My banking details etc are correct, I am just a bit concerned as many of my co-workers already received refunds on Friday and up until today I have still not received anything. Is it normal for SARS to take longer with some refunds or do I need to contact them again?

As you were not audited and all your returns have been submitted you should have received your refund by now. Has SARS confirmed that you have submitted all your returns for the last years?

Thank you for the response Tim, I have called SARS again and have now told me that I need to verify my banking details. This is why the payment was not done but I did not receive any notification from them.. anyway, thanks again Tim.
