Registration of employees who don't earn more than 5000 pm

I have a business with 8 employees who each earn below the threshold of tax. Do I have to register them?

You would only need to register them for UIF purposes, and not SARS as they do not pay tax. They should however all register themselves for a tax number as more and more institutions such as banks are requiring tax compliance / clearance letters for various transactions now.
