Elde says: 7 February 2016 at 14:20 We have no medical aid, but have dental and optometrist receipts for work done. How can we deduct this when we declare the IRP6 and ITR12? |
TaxTim says: 8 February 2016 at 13:16 In your tax return you would include the amount within the medical section "medical expenses not recovered from your medical scheme" (source code 4020). Please make use of our Medical Tax Credits Calculator to see if there will be a medical tax credit. If so, on your IRP6, you can insert in the field for "additional medical expenses tax credit" Please also read our blog on Tax deductions for Out of Pocket expenses |
