My SARS status is tax return assessed, and my SARS eFiling status correction filed. Therefore I requested a ITSA on 02. 02. 16, which shows a refund, but also shows selected for audit YES. Does this mean that I will get a refund or not please?

When you submitted your tax return and received your assessment (ITA34), were you asked to submit supporting documents?

Yes, supporting documents were already submitted on the 6th of january 2016, whereafter I phoned them and they said it is selected to audit.

It can take up to 60 days for SARS to complete their review of your documents. If you have not heard anything after this time has lapsed then you can call them again to find out the status of the audit.

Please read our blog on the Audit verification procedure to understand the process further.
