Casper says: 9 April 2015 at 16:34 I am a sole practicioner (legal consulting), i. e. my own business, own expenses (work office and home office). I don't have an IRP5 or IT3a therefore. But I keep having the following queries from TaxTim after I've filled in all the questions: "You can't depreciate personal items if your IRP5/IT3a Income section isn't filled in. Fix it" "You can't claim home office expenses if your IRP5/IT3a Income section isn't filled in. Fix it" "You can't deduct other expenses related to income if your IRP5 incomes list doesn't contain source code 3606." |
TaxTim says: 11 April 2015 at 12:34 Those numbers that you entered in the Tax Deductions section only apply if you are an employee with an IRP5 / IT3a - thus you will need to go back and say No to those questions. You can then include those incomes and expenses such as Depreciation under the Local Business income section on your return instead - you won't have a problem submitting anything then. It's just a matter of putting these expenses in a different section. |
