Is R860 tax on R4600 gross income correct?

Hi, I have been working for a company and my gross income is R4600 yet they are taxing me R860.

R4 600 per month is under the tax threshold and they should not be taxing you. Ask your employer why they are deducting amounts for income tax (PAYE). They should only be taking R46 per month for UIF.
