How do i answer the marital status question on SARS eFiling?

I got married in Dec 2015, but haven't managed to get a gap to go to Home Affairs to apply for a new ID book/card. This company where I freelance at don't even know that I got married. I tried to tell human resources,
late last year, but the woman said I can just provide them with copy of my new identity document, when I eventually get one. So now, WHAT do you suggest I DO when I log onto SARS e-filing,
Must I click the unmarried box? Or the married box?

You would tick the married box as legally you are now married. It doesn't matter that you have not yet applied for a new ID book.

Nobody (but HOME AFFAIRS Marriage Book/Register) KNOWS that I am married.

1. The company I work for, will produce an IRP5 with my MAIDEN name.
2. SARS records/facts will state my MAIDEN name

I will get called into a BRANCH, if all of a sudden (when logging onto SARS e-filing this year), fill in my HUSBAND'S surname, instead of my MAIDEN surname.

My MAIDEN surname will correspond to SARS records, as well as that of my IRP5.

OMG - whaaat a mess :(

Yes, continue to use your Maiden name on your SARS tax return until it is officially changed.
Some people get married and never change their maiden name - in this instance, they are still married and would indicate their marital status accordingly on their SARS tax returns.
