TaxTim says: 22 August 2014 at 14:12 Please read our article about why you may have a delayed refund from SARS to get a better understanding of the process. SARS unfortunately can take a lot of time on this matter . |
Mandy says: 26 August 2014 at 10:14 I phoned SARS and I was told the turn around time for my refund has expired, therefore they will escalate the case, what does this mean? and how can the turn around time expire? I'm confused? |
TaxTim says: 27 August 2014 at 9:32 This means someone hasn't looked at your assessment, so they have sent this to someone more senior to assess. However this really means SARS can take another 30 days to assess your return, unfortunately you must be patient. You will receive your refund, but the SARS process is just taking extra time this year. |
