Bell says: 3 August 2015 at 17:52 How long after you submitted your supporting doc's to sars, after they requested it, will they tell you if you are getting something back or not? And if you uploaded everything via efiling, how do you know if they have everything they need and is working on your return. The working page does not seem to indicate they received or are working on my scanned documents. |
TaxTim says: 3 August 2015 at 19:41 It can take up to 30 workings days for SARS to review your documents and issue you with a "completion letter". The link where you uploaded should now say "documents submitted". Please read below information for further details around the audit verification process and expected time frame. delayed refund from SARS |
Bell says: 6 August 2015 at 11:56 Thanks Tim, I receivd my completion letter last night. They state there no changes was made to my assessment...i changed or rather corrected my tax twice,so I dont understand witch assessment they accepted? Both times I did it,i pressed the calculation button, and got different amounts,so witch on will SARS work on? They did not specify in the letter? Lastly, they say in the letter that the process is now complete. Does this mean I will receive my money? |
TaxTim says: 6 August 2015 at 12:20 The calculation is not the final assessment. If is only assessed when you actually hit "file" and then an ITA34 (i.e assessment) would've been issued which will show the final tax due or payable. If you are due a refund per your ITA34, then you should receive it in the next few days. If not, there are some reasons which may cause a delay: Why haven't I received my tax refund yet? |
