Depreciation on private car for work

Hi, I use my car for work, and I don't receive a car allowance, I am only refunded for services and petrol, can I claim depreciation on the vehicle?

How often do you use your car for work purposes?

Hi, I use the vehicle daily, and do about 2000 kilometers a month.

Thanks

You would be able to claim depreciation on your vehicle, but would need to prove to SARS the basis for apportioning expenses between business and private use by keeping a vehicle logbook or demonstrating some similar method.
