TaxTim says: 29 June 2015 at 8:26 Yes you can, include this under the Income Protection question on your ITR12. Register for TaxTim and let us help you complete and submit your return. |
Andrew says: 29 June 2015 at 11:56 One further question: I attended a course to learn some new new ultrasound skills for my work. I paid for this myself - Am I able to claim back for this? If I can, can I include the flight and accommodation costs too? |
TaxTim says: 29 June 2015 at 14:25 If you are salaried then unfortunately you cannot claim this costs as it is a personal expenses seen as "'capital" do allow you to earn more income from the skills learnt. Similar to going to school/uni. If your employer pays for courses like this then you won't be taxed and they will be able to claim the deduction. |
