can a tax payer claim for his umemployed spouse, medical bills?

Can I claim for my wife's medical bills? she is unemployed, on chronic meds. she is not a member of my medical aid. All bills are my responsibility.

Yes you can if she is financially dependent on you. It would be part of your out of office expenditure.

You would include this in the medical section under amounts not recovered from medical aid.
