Employer letter - Why home office should be allowed as a deduction (commission earners)?

I am the financial manager of an insurance company and one of the employees has asked me to prepare a letter as requested by SARS. The letter is to motivate as to why the home office of the employee should be allowed as a deduction.
I would like to know what I need to include in the letter to make sure that the information is 100%.
I tried to request a provisional tax return But Status: Awaiting Registration Verification???

I've registered as a provisional tax payer as i am a school teacher earning R5 000 and I earn commissions that add up to around R15 000 pm. I cannot get the return to fill it out though. Says Status:

I am a student and self employed with part time earnings of R6 600, how do I register as a taxpayer?

I am a student and work for myself part time getting an amount of R6 600 a month. I have a registered tax number and need help with what to do to pay tax please and would like some assistance.
SARS lump 2 salaries together, a full time and a part-time salary.

My wife worked full time for Johannesburg General Hospital for 2011 and she started to work part time from the 1st of December 2011 for Doctor Gordon's practice. SARS has add the two salaries. Now my wife must pay R17 000. Her part time salary is about R5 000 or less a month. PAYE of R3438.75 has been deducted from the period 01/01/2012 to period 28/02/2012. I received an sms after registering with SARS eFiling that a statement of account has been issued on SARS eFiling for period 2012/07/18 too 2013/01/18. what does it mean. will i get a refund. I got the sms on Friday the 18 January and how long will it take for me to get a refund?

Hi Tim, great website and good gen. SARS phoned me asking for a schedule of my deductions. I uploaded it and forgot to click on 'submit', then received a second assessment disallowing the deductions - probably because I didn't submit the document.
What do you suggest? If I lodge a notice of objection, will they allow the late submission of the document? How much should I explain to them - fall on their mercy regarding my mistake, or just assert that I am entitled to the deductions? <...

I earn commission only, but do not keep a logbook. Can I claim any deduction for travel from my Commission income. I kept the petrol slips.

My previous employer said that I do not earn enough to pay tax, I have just recently found out that even if you do not pay tax there are some administration fees that have to be paid in. I never knew this so will there be any penalties that I have to pay and will I get into any trouble with SARS for not paying the administration fees.
On the logbook do you need to give reason if a zero entry is made on a day of no travel?

A family member is a running the contract in my name, I went to study so they took over. The income is commission based and approx 15k a month. They using their own personal vehicles to run the contract and have a few people that works on a casual basis. How do I declare this income? And how will I declare the expenses? I just started working and earns 80 per annum which is taxable course.

I retired on 30th June 2012 and received a SARS Tax Directive that states that "tax amounting to R0.00 is to be deducted from the gratuity / lump sum payment of R308732.65." I finished my studies middle November 2012 and started working on the 19th of November. I am a bit clueless with the ins-and-out of tax. I have already registered for a tax number and would like to know what the next step is. When should I register for eFiling, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
