Hello , I am 37 years old and my annual salary is R160000 and travel allowance R40000 I a traveling roughly equal for business and private distance and contributing R14000 pension fund (out of my salary earnings) what is my tax deduction from my monthly salary?
Can I claim back for contributions to a medical health insurance, ie not a medical aid scheme?

I am blind in my left eye due to a motorcycle accident 17 years ago I have never claimed and my doctor knows I have no sight in this eye . I was recently told I can claim as disabled due to this condition. I am on low pay and also have to pay for my medication for a heart conditions . . I was receiving working tax credit but now I been told I have to pay for my medication . . . Can you please offer me some advice if I am able to claim for help?

I am a full time employee in South Africa but do part time work after hours for a solicitor in the UK - she pays me £300 per month which equates to about R5600 per month (depending on exchange rate). How can I lessen the tax implications on this amount? Do I need to pay tax on this amount and declare it as a additional income on my return?

I am a sole practicioner (legal consulting), i. e. my own business, own expenses (work office and home office). I don't have an IRP5 or IT3a therefore. But I keep having the following queries from TaxTim after I've filled in all the questions:
"You can't depreciate personal items if your IRP5/IT3a Income section isn't filled in. Fix it"
"You can't claim home office expenses if your IRP5/IT3a Income section isn't filled in. Fix it"

I have received a tax certificate from my previous employer. So this is my first time submiting to SARS. I received an sms stating that the amount due by me is R0,1 and I was selected for audit. On the certificate under 'income received' there is a substantial amount of over R50,000 under 'gross non-retirement fund income'. My question is what does that mean and will I be getting any thing.
Do I get taxed on pension fund lump sum if i'm being retrenched?

Really love the website and service. Have a question regarding very old tax forms. I have been employed for around 5 years but never submitted an tax return (thus only the IRP5's).
