Medical Expense claim

Hi. I am currently filling out my return. Regarding medical expenses not covered by my medical aid - do I have to have the receipts for these in order to claim. In many instances for prescriptions I have had filled out I have the invoices but not the receipts. The payments do reflect on my credit card statement though. Is this adequate or must I have a receipt ?

Not sure if you can help me. I have a question re my personal tax return. I need to claim medical expenses covered that amounted to R19100-00, which my medical aid did not cover. This was paid in cash by me, but the problem is that this was paid in installments from 24-11-2012 up until 30-03-2015.
Can I not declare the full amount on my tax return or do I have to calculate the amount only for 2014 tax year? And if I do this what happens to the amounts paid during 2012 and 2013?
Student bursaries taxable?

During the previous tax year I received student bursaries. My understanding is that bursaries are exempt from tax? I previously used TaxTim's tool to file my taxes and would like to use it again. When filling out tax information using TaxTim's tool, when/where should I input info about the bursaries that I received?

I worked 2012 and 2013 but I never claimed Tax Return,now am working as a leaner at another company and they don't tax me any money how will I get my 2012 and 2013 tax return money?

I submitted my Income Tax 2015 on the 1st of July 2015. There is an amount due to me. Today is the 29th of July 2015 and still I have not received payment due to me. No audit or documentations required. Any suggestions?
Do I have to enter my IT3A certificates manually on my tax return?

Hi, I transferred my entire provident fund into a retirement fund & a preservation fund. I received 2 IT3A certificates from the administrator indicating the amounts sent to the fund groups. These certificates do not come up automatically on my tax return, do I have to type them in manually or are these documents just indicating what has gone to the funds and I don't have to worry to put anything on my tax return?

Please enter the amount for "Gross Non-retirement funding income" - source code 3698. It only gives space for one entry, I have two forms from two employers. Must I combine the amount or?

Thanks for an awesome blog!!!!! Its the first time that I submitted for a tax return. I completed it a few days ago for the last 5 yrs. It showed that a refund is due for 2013 and 2014, but for 2014 they want supporting docs. Since I have no medical aid, travel allowance etc I submitted my IRP5's - is this all I need to submit and what are the chances of the refund amount changing etc?
My business ceased trading in June 2010, but my vat and. Paye accounts are still active

I have already submitted but sars couldn't calculate because of directives did my employers not supply sars with directives by the time they retrench me. I need assistant please.

I have been asked to submit supporting documents. I don't have the receipts for medical expenses just a tax invoice (as always) from my pharmacist for the total amount for the period, what happens now?

Recently I got a bit confused on the SARS eFiling website and accidently requested a tax return for 2005 and 2010. I get very nervous when submitting tax so having seen red text saying a tax return for 2005 and 2010 are incomplete (after I requested them) I completed the tax returns however there was nothing to submit as I was still in high school in 2005 and I was a student at university in 2010.

Registered to e-filling but account is not being found

I just received an email saying that I am not registered to SARS e-filling. I registered at the beginning of May and have the confirmation emails. Do you have any recommendations on how to go about this. Anything to avoid going to the SARS office! :(
Can I claim expenses on bond and transfer fees on investment property?

My bond was registered for my investment property end April 2014. Please advise if I can claim under expenses incurred all of the bond and transfer fees amounting to R31,336. I called SARS contact centre and the lady advised that I am allowed to do so but from her tone of voice was not 100% certain. I have a reference number for the call whereby she agrees that I can claim as an expense. Please can you advise me as to what I should do?

I changed my banking details 3-4 weeks ago. Then after a week I submitted all the outstanding IRP5 and an SMS was sent to me detailing all the refund due to me. And was advised to expect the money within 24 hours as said by the Lady from SARS. Hi Tim,
I earn a set salary with commission and allowances such as travel and cell phone and a small portion of medical aid.
1. Can I claim back for the additional Gap cover I pay for?
2. Can I claim for my monthly insurance on my car?
3. Can I claim for my car license I paid for?
I had been using a broker over the last 2 years and I see they never put in for any of the above. Nor did she claim for the service I paid for on my car?
