Medical aid claims for wife that does not work, and kids

I have a separate medical aid for my wife (married in community of property, also she does not work) and 3 kids which I pay for from my account. The tax certificate that we get from Discovery is on her name.
Can I claim this on my tax return and if yes, what supporting documents should I keep ready just in case SARS asks? I also have a separate medical aid for myself (reason for 2 medical aids is because of the costs).
Do part-time workers with no fixed salaries qualify as temporary workers and tax refund?

Good day. I am not formally employed. I only do part time work via an Agency (Labour broker) which then deducts tax money before paying me, per shift, on a weekly basis. I got a IRP5 form with a total income of ZAR 350,000 for the past financial year.
Am I a temporary tax payer?

Hi Tim,
Firstly, I absolutely LOVE your website - it's put such a complicated system into an easy to understand format. Life saver tendencies :D!
I'm doing my own taxes (for the first time) via SARS eFiling and thanks to you the process has been rather easy. But I just need to double check on the following:
-I submitted supporting documentation. How long do I have to wait to receive my refund? I'm not being audited.
-Account statement shows a negative account balance (YAY) but what does 'aging transaction' mean?...

How long after you submitted your supporting doc's to sars, after they requested it, will they tell you if you are getting something back or not? And if you uploaded everything via efiling, how do you know if they have everything they need and is working on your return. The working page does not seem to indicate they received or are working on my scanned documents.

I worked 80 days outside of South Africa in the 2014 tax year. I was employed by a South African company, but was stationed on a Turkish mine site for works conducted. It was not 80 consecutive days, with trips usually 2-3 weeks at a time. Am I eligible for any tax refunds?

My current employer underpaid my tax each month from June last year until Feb, now I owe SARS money

Written by Marc

My current employer underpaid my tax by not taking into consideration that I worked before I started the job here. Now I have to pay in approximately R1300 on my tax. I began my job here June 2014, I only started working full time Jan 2014 as I was studying prior to that. Can I hold my current employer accountable for this amount as they knew I was working prior to taking up my position here and never took that into consideration when paying PAYE for me?

I have an employee who gets issued an AA88 from SARS which I payover as per the documentation received. I made four payments this year, February, March, April and May, after which the notification when I synced with SARS Efiling via easy file, said cancelled or finalised, and no further payments requested. Medical Scheme Fees Tax Credit

Good day,
I just want to make sure about the Medical Scheme Fees Tax Credit, source code 4116. My husband joined my medical scheme from July 2014, thus every month I pay for myself plus one dependent. In terms of section 6A (Medical scheme contributions tax credit), do I have a right to R257 tax credit per month for myself and for my husband? (Thus: (R257*12)myself + (R257*8)first dependent). On my completed IRP 5,from my previous employer, they only took myself into account for the medical scheme tax credit and not my dependent as well...
